Patterson turned his disgusting head toward me. “Mr. Anastasi.” Patterson smirked as he leaned forward and licked her neck, making her whimper.
In two strides, I was across the room, my gun pulled free of its holster. I pressed the cool metal barrel against his head. “Take your fucking hands off her.”
"Patterson let go of her throat and pushed his hands into the air. “Whoa, Anastasi. Calm down.”
“I’ll calm down when you move away from her. Madison,” I held out my hand, “come here.” I could see the resolve slowly crumbling in her gaze. “If one fucking tear falls from her eyes, you’re going to be eating a bullet.” Tugging her hand, I pushed her behind me. Madison pressed her body to my back, my palm pressing her firmly in place.
“She’s just another fucking piece of pussy, Anastasi.” Patterson scoffed. “I’m sure it isn’t any good anyway.”
The sound of my gun echoed throughout the space. His brains coated the paint as his body crumpled to the ground. Madison squeaked as she buried her face into the back of my jacket.

Ok I’m not much of a reader, but I was pulled into this book fast and I can’t put it down. I feel as if the author is talking about me as if I am in the story. When one chapter is done and I have to go to sleep, all day the next day the words that I read replay in my mind and I can’t wait to get home an get to the next one. Also this book is the steamiest book I have read and that does things to my mind and I can promise my spouse does not mind! The bedroom has been hotter than it has been in a long time. Thank you for keeping it spicy
